Can you believe it's already Friday again??  The days pass fast when you're having fun!  In can you missed it, I'm currently in Italy, but I had time to write a post for this Friday and schedule it to go live so you all can share your whoop whoops along with me.  We'll be taking a week off next Friday, so whoop it up now!

It's been a busy week in my sewing studio, as I buckled down to start working on the first of three annual quilts for my grandkids.  I'm happy to say I found the perfect quilt for Lilli this year - Crunch Time by Kelli Fannin Quilts.  

So I got started this week making the cookie blocks - they went so quickly!  Kelli really writes excellent patterns ...

It's Friday!  I know my grands are definitely ready for the weekend - the first week of school is always a hard adjustment.  But it's been a good week for sewing for me, and maybe for you too - so let's get our whoop whoop on!

I had a very productive week, which started off with a bang.  My husband had to be at church very early Sunday morning, so I went with him and did a little work in the quilting room.  I took this stack of fabric...

Friday has rolled around once again, and hallelujah - we are finished with this year's 12 Days of Christmas in July!  It was fun while it lasted, but a whole lot of work, so that's one of the things I'm whooping about this week.  But I'm sure you all have things to share too, so let's get started!

I did a good bit of sewing and quilting this week!  It felt really good to get back into the swing of things a bit, although I will admit to a bit of "paralysis of analysis" as I tried to figure out how to quilt a customer quilt.  When I mentioned this to my husband, he said, "Use thread."  How helpful!  But ...

It's been an interesting and diverse week in my neck of the woods this week - it started out with working on all of these machines at church to be sure they were running well.  Most of them just had tension or threading issues that were easily remedied ...

I don't have a whole lot (in pictures) to show for this week, although I'm whooping over several things - we have finished all the quilts needed for our two big quilt projects, and I have finished cleaning out and planting in my little back garden!  I've also got a quilt loaded on the frame and ready to quilt tomorrow, which took me giving procrastination a kick ...

I have to admit, as I write this, that I'm not feeling much to whoop about right now.  I live in Tennessee, and if you've been following the news, you know that our state legislature has done some pretty reprehensible things today in the wake of the mass shooting two weeks ago in a Nashville private school.  So that's been affecting my mood today pretty badly ...
